Bad Image?

When I log on my computer (Diminison 2350 with Windows XP Home) A box comes up on the screen and this is the message:  The application of DLL (then it gives the file location) is not a valid Windows image.  Please check with your installation diskette.
 
Please help! ASAP

    I get "dsc.exe  Bad Image-the application or DLL C:\Windows\system32\xlibgfl254.dll is not a valid windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.
     
    that comes up when i boot up my computer.
     
    do you know what I can do???
