Dimension 4500

I just recently made a clean XP installation.  This came after having 2 "corrupt" versions on my PC.  Despite the clean install, at bootup, there are now 3 "versions" from which I usually have about 28 seconds to choose which one I want.  Choosing the first one takes me to the clean install; choosing the 2nd or 3rd "XP" results in a message stating that these operating systems can't be found.  How do I get rid of this startup option?  I just want to bootup without the hassle of having to "choose" which "version" of XP to run.....

Sincerely,
Dave

    KGun1284,

Go to Start|Run, enter msconfig and click OK. On the BOOT.INI tab click the "Check all boot paths" button. Two of the boot paths will be identified as not valid and you will have the option of deleting them at that time. After you have done this the next time you boot up you will see the message that you are using Selective Startup to troubleshoot the system. Check the box that tells Windows not to display that message again and it won't trouble you in the future.
