Disk Cleaner Problem

Hello,

I'm running a dell dimension 4400 with Windows XP. I'm having a problem with my disk cleaner, it will start and then it quits and won't restart. I have restarted the computer, I'm sure there is a lot to clean up since my PC is slowing down. I usually run the cleaner about every two days. Is there any way to uninstall and reinstall this program. I looked for it in the add/remove programs and it's not listed. I need help.

    This Regedit from kellys-korner should fix the problem:

    Disk Cleanup freezes
    Disk Cleanup - Compressed Old Files Freezes (Line 48)

    If that regedit didn't fix it...

    Restore Disk Cleanup
    Restore Disk Cleanup - cleanmgr (Line 84)

    To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
    and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
    right clicking on the file and selecting E
