I didn't like Vista so I formatted my drive and installed XP Professional. The install went fine, however, some of the drivers didn't install or something. I keep getting the "found new hardware" for Base System Device, Ethernet Controller, Network Controller, PCI Device, and Video Controller. Is there something I didn't do during install or are these components not XP compatible? Thanks Nate
- When you download them, they will have generic names like Rxxxx, So put them in thier own folders named Chipset, Video, NIC, Sound, so you know what they are.Yes burn to CD or copy to a usb flash drive, insert the cd or usb device into the freshly installed PC, then double click the Rxxxx file to execute it and it will install on its own.
- You need to install drivers after installing XPyour driversInstall them in this order only
