I have tried the forum search engine, and read the faq2. Unfortunately I was unable to find a solution to a bit of a strange problem...

I can save an image in jpeg format. However every time the 'save as' window opens, all previous saved images are not displayed and the destination folder appears empty. It doesn't matter what view I set the 'save as' window to, e.g. thumbnails, tiles, icons, list, details. They still won't appear.

I know they are there, because the jpeg icons display quite normally when I open the specific folder in question via my computer. For some reason it's just in the 'save as' window they won't display.

I have discovered though that if I manually remove the 'e' from 'jpeg' at the end of the file name I am saving. It works fine. But I can't do that every time I wish to save an image. I have also noticed using the 'save as'  window,  that in older folders I can see all the files that have  a 'jpg' extension. But not files that have a 'jpeg' extension...Weird huh!

I never use to have this problem until recently. I would be grateful  if some one can help please.
