Just received E1505, for various reasons, wiped partitions and HD and started over.  Left a 2048 meg unpartitioned space per dell support instructions.  But I didn't get the Media Direct DVD that is needed (brand new system so it is the version with instant office).

 

Problem is, this version is so new, nobody on the phone or chat seems to know specifics about it or how to ensure I get the right disc.

 

They are sending P/N DH371 for Media Direct (along with a bunch of other discs).  From what I can see, this p/n is for 2.0 (no instant office feature), and I think the latest is 3.1?  Tech support just said "they will send whatever is the latest".  I hope so.

 

Also am I correct in thinking that I need Dell Media Experience to get the DVD decoder for MCE?  If so is that included on the Media Direct disc, as I don't see anything about experience in the list they're sending me.....

 

Hoping someone has gotten these discs and will know :-)
