Microsoft Anti Virus

I have McAfee anti virus that is coming up for renewal. Does anyone know anything about Microsoft anti virus. How does it compare to McAfee. Is it available. If so how do you purchase it as I can't find out anything about it.
Also I have heard horror stories about uninstalling McAfee anti virus. Does anyone have experience unstalling McAfee anti virus. What are the problems and how do you uninstall McAfee anti virus.

    I have not had a problem uninstalling  MacAfee .. if u want a free anti virus soft ware try AVG Anti-Virus software u can find it at http://download.com/3000-2239-10543927.html  my university student uses it and no problems. and if u need a free firewall u can use Microsofts or down load Zone Alarm
