Why would you want to remove an update? Windows update keeps your computer secure and running properly, I do not think you should remove any windows updates in the add remove programs list.275

My concern was that the majority

Not sure what ricky_bennett is referring to, but to avoid misunderstanding:the KBxxxxxxx refers to the MS knowledgebase article related to the update, which you can look up to see what the update fixes fromhttp://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1 with search type set to article ID.Sorry Denny, you beat me to it again.Message Edited by JRosenfeld on 08-07-200611:17 PM

No, it isn't. It is the number in the Microsoft KnowledgeBase (KB) which describes the update. The poster clearly asked the question using capital letters.

o it dose not show the size my bad i never see my updates cuss i have them set to hide the updats i thaout thay show the size but it dont106

We answered as best we could given the little information you supplied, we have no crystal ball here on the forum. Tell what you mean by "Microsoft updates in Windows " really means. Also what does "can those in Windows files be safely deleted?" mean specifically.We see this quite frequently on the forum , non specific questions with little clarity, we do the best we can.275
