RA Media Server

Hello ! have a (2008 model)  Inspiron-1720 laptop that  I have updated to windows 10.  l am having all kinds of problems doing any program changes or some preferences. `The RA Media Server  password prompt comes up every time I try a program change or removal. Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem or disable the RA Server? Thanks

Windows 10 has not been tested on this computer and no drivers are available. You can try uninstalling the RA Media Server to see if that will help you with this issue.

To remove the RA Media Server:  Go to Control Panel Open User Accounts Select "Manage Another Account"  Click on RA Media Server Choose "Delete this Account"

I had no problems with deleting this user (RA Media) even though it was password protected.

To remove Dell Remote Access:  Go to Control Panel Open Programs and Features Locate Dell Remote Access from list Choose Uninstall

I might also recommend disabling  Remote Access under System Properties

Go to Control Panel Open System Under Tasks - click on "Remote Settings" Uncheck "Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer" Select Apply, then OK
