Sold Out Software
In the summer last year, my PC crashed with a problem (i think it was a missing .dll file) anyway dell told me how to format the hard drive as they said that was the only way. I did that and have re-installed most of my games now. Three weeks ago i bought Dungoen keeper two (under the Sold Out label) and Age of Empires gold from my local Game. Neither of them would install. I took them back and the person at Game said that it was because all dell PCs are shipped with a rubbish version of Windows XP. Then last week I tried to install Worms Armageddon (also under the Sold Out name) and that wouldn't install either, even though it had installed previously on my PC before it was formatted. No other games have been affected. As a note, when i boot up, i am given a message asking which operating system i want to run, Windows XP or Windows XP (one of which doesn't work).

To remove the extraneous operating system on bootup, edit your boot.ini file as described here.
The "person at Game" is woefully uninformed. The version of XP you get with a Dell system is the same one you get if you purchase it retail.
