The presence of bulk parasites can make it very difficult to detect critical symptoms of major infections. We need to clear them out first. Please co-operate when asked to run Spybot . We have to create a level playing field to work with. Get them here:

Download Spybot Search and Destroy from www.spybot.info http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html Once downloaded, install it and choose the appropriate language. Before running a full system scan it is crucial that you update Spybot’s database for additions of known threats, this increases your chances of solving your problem. Once it has updated run a full system scan and fix anthing in red.

What was your current memory, how much do you have?

 I'd try increasing your page file size to a CUSTOM SIZE of 1024, if MAX is less than that, increase it to 1024 also, see if that helps. I've got a 4550 with 1gig of memory and i've set mine to 1536 with the MAX set at 3072. If your still getting the same error message and you have that much free space on your harddrive, then i'd try adding more memory.

If you want to make the page size smaller, try increasing it by 100meg increments until your able to run all your current applications without problems.

Have you checked you processes for anything un-necessary or not needed? There may be some things you can omit from starting up.

The biggest problem with paging applications in-and-out is a serious decrease in system performance.

Hi James,

I did as you suggested and downloaded and ran Spybot.  It found over 50 viruses of some sort with 5 being in my PC memory.  It then adviced that I restart my computer to fix those, which I did.  I also adjusted my paging file memory.  Anything else I should do?

I downloaded the spybot but I am still getting the pop-up screen.  I also keep getting something called DSO exploit when I run spybot.  I have over 20,000 MB free in my computer, so I am unsure of what to do.  Any more advice?
