Windows 2000 on an XPS 410. Is this possible?
All,
For various reasons, I would like to get Windows 2000 running on my XPS 410- Ideally I want to set up a dual boot with Win 2000 and Windows Vista.
I have a Windows 2000 slipstream installation with Service Pack 4. I also slipstreamed the intel INF files from the website for the 965 chipset. When I boot from the cd, it runs all the way to "starting windows 2000" and then bluescreens reading "innaccessible boot device".
Does anyone know the steps I need to take and what drivers I may be missing to install windows 2000, if this is even possible? All that I slipstreamed was Service Pack 4, and intel chipset INF files (not even sure if its the real drivers.)
Thanks ahead of time!
