Everytime I try to install something on my computer, it gives me an error message saying:

"Windows installer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"

and aborts the installation.  I couldn't install my windows service pack for this reason, and couldn't install the CD that came with my text book either. I have tried rebooting my computer and the same thing happens. Please help me!
