Windows Media Center Edition

Does WMCE work like a regular edition of Windows XP Home or can you only access the MC? What I am asking is does it work like a normal computer. Please help me here.

    It just works like your Xp pro. however there are certain additional features that can be launched by clicking on the media center icon found on the desktop.

    It's a normal (if there is such a thing) version of XP Pro, that can not join a domain (without hack), that connects to you video output sources for media files, but runs like a normal PC while not in Media mode.
