Windows media Player

We have always had issues playing back media with Windows media Player. The video clips start ok but then the video freezes while the audio continues. Anyone have any ideas? We have a Dimension 5100 with Windows media Player 10. Not sure if you are familiar with the site but we are trying to play video clips from wdw.info.com (Unofficial Disney site)

Which choice do you download? Does this replace Windows Media Player?

    Windows

It does not remove WMP if that is the question, it is just an alternative that has none of the WMP problems

I am unclear as to how to utiliize this for what we are viewing. My wife likes to watch short video clips of Disney World that are posted on various Unofficial Disney sites. When you click on hte video it automatically opns in Wondows Media Player. How would I open this in the player you have linked to?

Sorry, missed that part in your original post, it won't work in Internet Explorer

Your issue may be with bandwidth-how fast your internet connection is.

Also you can clean out your temporary internet files by opening IE and go to tools/internet options/
on the general tab under temp.. internet files click delete, then tick "delete all offline files" hit ok. This may take a while to complete if you have never done this,

To keep these files from building up, go to Tools/ internet options/ advanced tab
scroll down near the bottom and tick the "empty temp internet files when browser is closed" box and hit ok.. Now it will do this task for you when the browser is closed.

    Clean out your temp files

You can do this by what's called a disk cleanup, by doing a properties on your C drive in windows explorer and hit the disk cleanup button, again this will take a short while to compile a list for you, when it is done a window will pop up called disk cleanup for C:
Here is your list of what you can clean up, just UN tick everything but "Temporary Files" (different than temp INTERNET files)this is the only one with a check mark in the box.  Hit OK say yes  let it run
