On booting my Dell E521 with Vista, I got this message, "Settings.ini is being used by another process."  This appeared after a very long time of "Preparing Your Desktop" message.  Another message:  C:\Windows\system 32\config\systemprofile\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable.  I got out of that and then the desktop appeared with only the "computer" icon and the recyle icon.  Restarted and desktop appeared correctly.  Does anybody have any ideas about what is going on with my computer?
