Keyboard Doesn't Work (repeats keys)

Keyboard Doesn't Work (repeats keys)

I'm using PocketCloud (free, most recent version) on a Nexus One running Android 2.2. I'm connecting through SSH using port forwarding to a PC inside a network at home that runs Fedora 13 (Gnome 64bit). I have PocketCloud set to use port 5902, which forwards to port 5901 on my computer through SSH. My computer is using the default vncserver with Fedora (not the Vino Remote Desktop GUI).

Everything works great, except the keyboard. If I try to type in any text box, it will just repeat the keys over and over again forever. Aside from it being inconvienent to not be able to type, I also can't log into the remote machine because I can't type the password.

Does anyone have any idea what's causing this or how to fix it? I really love this app, but I can't really use it if I can't type. Thanks ahead of time for the help!

Same issue when attempting nested VM control

I'm having the above mentioned repeating key problem when:

1.) Using PocketCloud to connect via VNC to my laptop
2.) Then the VMware remote console to control a virtual machine.

When controlling the virtual machine (Windows XP), the last letter or number key I press on the phone will repeat endlessly until I either:

1.) Send backspace or another "special key" from the phone or
2.) Press any key on the laptop's physical keyboard.

However, all the keys work great and do NOT stick if I am only controlling the host laptop OS and other applications. (Windows 7 Pro).

    Versions:

Wyse Pocketcloud for Android 1.0 (Paid version, not FREE)
Phone: T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream), Running Android 2.1
Host OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
    - UltraVNC Server 1.0.8.2
    - VMware Remote Console 2.5.0 build-122581
    - VMware Server 2.0.2 Build 203138
    - - Virtual Machine OS: WinXP Pro SP3

We have seen this issue with certain apps on a rdp session. Do not know the reason yet. Does this happen with other os/apps? which application are you using to type...

Is anyone watching this thread? I too am having the same problem. Unfortunately it renders an otherwise great product unusable. We really need to get this resolved. (I am using PocketCloud Pro 1.1 on an Android X connecting to VNC on a Ubuntu 8.04 server.)

Can you please confirm this does not happen with any other VNC Client? We believe this might be a problem with the VNC server but cannot confirm.

We are looking into this issue.
What keyboard settings do you use - Samsung keypad or Swype?

    For Samsung Galaxy:
    1) Samsung Galaxy Settings > Locale and Text > Select imput method > Choose SWYPE
    2) Launch PocketCloud > connect to your machine and check if it still repeating keys

Let me know if it works

I, too, am having this issue. The VNC server I'm using is X11VNC, and it's being used under Debian Sid.

It looks like the problem is it isn't receiving a key release. Disabling key repeat on the server doesn't seem to help either, as it's re-enabled by the client as soon as a key is pressed.

Same issue too with vmware server 2 and vncserver.
    I'm using a folio 100 tablet.
Too bad since with this problem, the application is useless.
