If it's a Dell adapter and the wattage of the power adapter is at least the wattage required for that system (check your existing power adapter if you still have it), then yes it will work. Dell has been very good about maintaining power adapter compatibility for more than 15 years now. The only deviation is that some newer systems have a miniaturized version of the barrel connector, but even there Dell makes a dongle to allow you to use a power adapter that has the standard larger barrel with a system that uses the smaller barrel. But anyway, it's absolutely fine to use a higher wattage power adapter with a system that was designed for lower wattage. I've had a 130W power adapter in my living room for over 10 years and have used it with all sorts of Dell systems designed for power levels ranging from 45-130W and have never had a problem. The system will just ignore the extra wattage capacity if it can't use it; the adapter won't "force" the system to accept more power than it can handle. The only thing that matters is the voltage level the power adapter supplies relative to what the system is expecting, but Dell has been using 19.5V across the board for over 15 years now, which is why compatibility is so easy.
