Machine no longer boots with msata drive installed
So I've been running Ubuntu on my sputnik since I got it around June of 2014 and that went just fine. Recently however I decided I'd try to see if I could install OpenBSD on it. I was able to boot the installer off a usb thumb drive (and openbsd runs just fine when installed to a usb thumb drive as well) I wiped, and completely repartitioned the internal msata drive, and when I finished with the installation, I rebooted.
Now, I can no longer even get into the BIOS setup, or get the "select a boot device" menu to come up. Basically, the machine starts to boot, I see the DELL logo, I can hit F2 or F12 and see visual feedback that my selection is made, but then I just get a black screen and that's it. I also just get the same black screen if I do nothing and just wait for the system to boot.
The only way I've been able to get back into BIOS settings or boot at all is be removing the internal msata disk.
I spend an hour on the phone with support and then my call got dropped just as I was being transfered to someone on the Linux team, and haven't had the patience to call back.
Anyone seen anything like this?
