Alienware m17x r1 not charging
Hello,
I just got a new battery pack, and it won't charge. Its stuck at 11% and won't move! My bios screen says I have stealth mode on,but every time I try to turn it off it says "stealth mode not required low power mode already enabled." I think it might be the battery on my motherboard,also my dc jack. The thing is my dc jack was messed up but I soldered it so now it powers up. Theres beeping when I first turn my computer on, and it says ac adapter cannot be determined, stealth mode is on. Battery may not charge. Warning ac adapter is not the 240 watt that was shipped. Please help. Also my graphics card is not gettint enough power. So far I've done unplug ac adapter take out battery, hold power button for 30 sec.But it still wont charge. Please help!

I mean I guess. Do you think I should solder it again.Also why does it say low power mode is enabled aka power saver when I have high performance on?
A possible answer is the circuitry is messed up. That's why I asked about your soldering job. As to your power saver mode...If you don't have the right or faulty charger, it usually does this. If you have a spare drive you can find out if that is indeed the case.
The thing is my dc jack was messed up but I soldered it so now it powers up.
Check with meter (ohms and voltage).
The circuit board might be 3 layer (hidden traces in middle). If one of those got damaged near plug soldering ... PCB is toast (without schematic).

Is there a way to identify it or at least fix it? Also how do I know if my ac adapter is compatible with my battery pack?

In the bios it actually says connect a supported ac adapter so I think Im going to look that up, because some ac adapters aren't compatible with the battery pack.

The tiny center pin carries digital identity of adapter into laptop. Must be Dell. Must be proper size "family" (volts and amps). It's a control fail-safe.Dell Rockstar

Are you sure you did a good job of fixing the jack?
