I came home from work today and sat down to get on my 17 R3. When I press the power button, there is not beep indicating it is turning on, but you can quietly hear a few boot noises and the fan start up only to have to stop about 2 seconds later. If you wait about 5 seconds you will hear it click on again and the fan start to move and it will shut down again. It will not go any further. I have tried disconnecting the power and booting it. I have also held down the power button for about a minuet with the power not connected to see if I can drain the battery charge, still nothing. I tried removing the ram and placing it back in as well, still nothing. I tried a trick where you touch two tiny copper circles with a needle nose plier under the RAM as suggested on the forum elsewhere, and nothing. The laptop is in perfect condition and I have had zero issues with it up until this point. I would love to know what in the world is wrong and how to fix it before my warranty runs out in 83 days.
