Hi everyone. I have always had this problem with my Dell computer ever since I got it last year. When I plugged my VGA cable into the usual spot where you plug it in, for some reason the display does not work, it's strange, it seems to detect the monitor, but, it's like the monitor is asleep and it says power saving mode. Now when I got my computer I got a DVI adapter with it and i plugged my VGA cable into the back of this adapter and I plugged the dvi adapter into it's usual port... for some reason, after I did that, my display appears fine. It's pretty much when I try to connect my VGA cable into it's original port that it does not work. I hope that all makes sense.

I was wondering if anyone has an answer to this as I would like to know why on earth my computer is doing this? Thanks
