I´ve got an OptiPlex GX280 Minitower with A08 BIOS. I tried to upgrade to an Intel P4 660, sSpec# SL7Z5, cpu but system will not boot and sends a message: "Alert ! Incompatible cpu. System halted." It doesn´t matter if I change to a generic 600W PSU.

 

I´ve browsed around at this forum and I´ve got the feeling that this CPU should work.

 

What´s wrong ?
