Shut off the blinking battery warning?
I'm running Windows XP on an Inspiron e1505. Recently, I got a message that my battery was nearing the end of its usable life.
Now, at this point the battery still lasts more than adequately long for my purposes (in fact, I'm only seeing a very small drop in usage time, and since the system is about 16 months old I'm not wildly surprised by that). So, until the battery actually *reaches* the end of its usable life, I'd like to keep using it.
The only problem is that the little battery LED-icon keeps flashing (amber, amber, amber, amber, green) and it's incredibly annoying/distracting. Is there a way to disable that warning/blinking? Otherwise I'm going to end up putting a bit of duct tape over the icon...
I checked the BIOS, but I didn't see any relevant setting there.
Thanks,
Jack
