OK, I just bought this beautiful 2005fpw, looks like a great monitor and I can't use it at all. My notebook has a Radeon 9200, which only supports 16/9 screens at 1920 x 1080, and the Dell complains that it doesn't support that resolution and does nothing. Even my desktop has a Radeon 7000 in it that doesn't support any high resolutions applicable to this monitor. I downloaded Powerstrip, and tried settinng up a custom resolution, but that doesn't work: I end up with an incorrect aspect ratio (my notebook only has a composite and s-video out, the latter I haven't tried). Otherwise, on the monitor I can change the image settings/scaling to 1:1 and get a little tiny picture in the screen, to aspect to get the right aspect ratio (sometimes) but typically leaving big black strips on either side, or to Fill which stretches the aspect ratio out of proportion.

I do drafting, so the aspect ratio has to be right. I guess I was an idiot leaving this question unasked until I opened the box, but I can't believe more people aren't running into it. Am I missing something? Is there no way to get this working (on my notebook, preferably, which means no new video board). I have downloaded the latest drivers I can find for the 9200 (have to use Compaq drivers, ATI doesn't support imbedded video cards or something).
