3007WFP + 7800GS

I'm having issues with my recently purchased 3007WFP.

Upon initial installation, the monitor's resolution could only be set as high as 1920x1200 [instead of the maximum resolution of 2560x1600.]

I updated my nVidia drivers, and upon doing so the resolution of the monitor became frozen at 1280x800. The screen resolution slider only provided that one option.

I purchased this monitor to use the maximum display, and was told that since my graphics card could support Dual-Link DVI it would be able to support 2560x1600.

Anyone else had problems unlocking the maximum display of the 3007WFP with a card that supposedly should be able to do the job?

Thanks very much.

-Chris

Please disregard. I learned that my 7800 GS [AGP] doesn't have Dual-DVI support and thus can't display higher resolutions.

not sure so I thought I would ask. Are you running this on a laptop or workstation? (too lasy to look up the card)..

    Thanks

-- I ask because I was told the montior (if not dual dvi ran) would be in even a lower res. If I knew I could get 1900x1200 on my XPS M1710 I would have bought one.

Dual-DVI = 2 DVI connectors DualLink-DVI is a DVI connector with more used pins. I have ab NVIDIA 7600 GS [AGP] and absolutly no problem 2560x1600 works perfectly Owen
