There are tons of handshake issues between this monitor and the PC, in MST, which causes the display to enter power save mode.  When I turn off the monitor and power it back on again, I do not receive any video signal, which causes the display to enter power save mode.  The only way I can get a video signal again is by rebooting my PC.  Also, if I Alt+Tab while gaming, occasionally this will happen.  Apparently this issue has been addressed by Sharp and Asus, with their MST 4k displays, and has been fixed through a firmware update.
