nsrexecd Cannot start portmapper
nsrexecd daemon cannot start on a HP-UX client and "nsrexecd Cannot start portmapper " appeared in the daemon.log,any ideas?

Once I found in the KB an article about a few programs that if started before Nw in the startup sequence could unable Nw to start portmapper, you may want to search for anything there.

Recently I got struck with a Qlogic HBA where Sansurfer used port 111 and therefore created problems for nsrexecd. Check admin guide for designating any other port than 111 if in case port 111 is what is causing problems for you i.e. port 111 is blocked.

Are there any ports blocked especially 7937-7938 and if it beyond NW 7.5, check for port 111 also?
