I wrote a short letter on Microsoft Word and e-mailed to a friend. I tried to close by clicking X button on top-right corner and I got a message:

Microsoft Word   You cannot close Microsoft Word until the Send Mail command is finished. Switch to the New Message first, and either send or close the message.

How can I get to the New Message and close it?  thanks.
