Inspiron 1525 and bad wifi connection
When I'm in my office I either connect via wire or use a linksys wireless router to connect to the internet and have no problems. When I go home, however, I share my neighbors wifi connection. My girlfriend has an Apple that is a few years old and has no problems connecting and her daughter has a Dell that is a few years old as well and has no issues. I, however, have almost no connection at all. I can connect to the network, but my browser takes forever to load web pages if it does at all. Most times it tells me the connections was interupted or timed out. Checking email is slightly more productive but not much. The laptop came with a Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-card which I am assuming is just not up to the task of efficient work! Assuming this is correct, what are my options?? Can I replace the mini-card with something better, install an some other device to boost the signal, send the Dell card back and have them replace it with something that works better??? Currently have the Dell 1395 WLAN Mini-card.
