First post so hopefully you will be gentle with me. I have been looking for a laptop and decided to buy a Dell laptop as there was an offer with Orange to provide a 3G card which has a better coverage than vodafone which you can get with many other laptops at the moment.
I have ordered online and it is on the invoice packing slip but trying to get any more info from Dell is well about as much use as an ashtry on a motorbike. Talk about wasting breath, after several emails and phone calls nobody in Dell seems to know anything about this offer. I have an email from Dell confirming that I should get a card but not sure if it comes from Dell Orange or some other company.
I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems as I am frustrated with trying to understand the Indian call centre staff and fed up with having the phone put down on me several times and then transferred to voicemails and not getting any return calls......I am thinking about contacting my bank and asking them to dispute the item...that might be the only resort I feel..
Thanks. The deal was for an orange 3g referal but when I started asking more question about what is happening I got passed around the houses, I have got an email from the call centre saying I will get a card and then I am being told that nobody knows about it and are waiting on details from marketing. I have just spoken to them and they keep asking for more time. The only problem I see is that the new laptops Dell are shipping have the new PCexpress slot and most cards are PCMIA II format.
