Problems with 1450 Wireless USB adapter

I have a Dell Dimension 4700 with a 1450 wireless USB adapter.   I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router.  When we first set up the computer, I had no problems getting to the internet.  Then after about  a month, I started having problems losing my connection.  It would reconnect, work for a minute or so, then lose connection again.  I moved the computer into the room with the router to eliminate signal problems.    When I view available networks, I can see my network, but the link status says 'Associated' and if I hover over the little computer network icon, it says 'little or no connectivity'.  Any ideas?

    themoorefive,

You may have another wireless network which is close enough to interfere with yours.  Perhaps a neighbor has a wireless router and has networked his systems as well.  In some cases, 2.4Ghz phones will interfere with a nearby wireless network since your wireless router operates in the same radio frequency range.

You can try changing the channel on which your wireless router operates or changing the range of IP addresses that your wireless network uses.  Either or both of these changes may help with your connectivity issues.
