Dell optiplex 745 gpu

So I'm thinking about how to upgrade my quite old Dell OptiPlex 745 Minitower pc.

My current specs are:

ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT (RV610)

CPU Intel Xeon X3230

5GB DDR2 RAM (667MHz)

I've read it somewhere that the best GPU for the Minitower type is probably the GeForce GTX650Ti, but I feel like 85-90 USD would be too expensive for that...

Does anybody has an idea for a (low profile, one slot) GPU with a similar performance level, which is less expensive?

Here are some closest AMD rivals to GeForce GTX 650 Ti:
    • 113.33 % Radeon HD 6970.
    • 108.96 % Radeon RX 550.
    • 105.42 % Radeon HD 6950.
    • 99.69 % Radeon HD 6850 X2.
    • 89.27 % Radeon R7 250X.  R7 250X is about $55.

745 MT takes single slot full bracket full height or half height gpu.

some senior member in this community may probably advise you not to invest on upgrading this old model based on prior users having similar question.

XE2 is better way to go.

315w power supply in SFF supports up to 120w video card low profile.
