Add non-RAID disk to RAID
Dear all,
for a temporary backup purpose I need to put in a single
independent non-RAID disk into the bay of a PE 2650 with
a 3-disk RAID 5 system.
How do I get access to it from RH Linux?
When I just plug it in, the drive cannot be seen and
mounted directly from RH Linux.
When I assign a RAID 0 level to it, I get the message
that no partition information is found. Of course
I did not initialize the drive, since I need the data
on it.
Could somebody help?
Thanks
