New HDD install problems
I have a Dimension 9200 that came with a WD2500JS SATA HDD. When it crashed, I looked on Dells site for compatible HD's and purchased a WD 1TB SATA HD WD1002FAEX. I unplugged the old HDD and plugged in the new one, powered up the machine and nothing happened .My screen remains black. The light on the monitor starts out green and then goes to yellow. it doesnt seem to be recognizing the drive. I am not sure what I need to do to get this machine back up and running.

Hi rderman611,
Did you boot to the BIOS (F2) to make sure the new drive is detected? If you did, the next step is to boot from your Windows XP disc and reinstall the operating system. Here are instructions written by our good friend natakuc4.
