I got some really cute Creative TravelSound 500 notebook speakers to use on my Inspiron 6400/1505 notebook running Vista Home Premium.  When I plugged the USB cable in, nothing happened..the system never even looked for them!  I'm wondering..Is this just an incompatiblitiy thing with Vista?  I had the Sound Blaster Advanced Audigy MB originally installed on the laptop when I got it in January, but lost the use of that when I upgraded to Vista...Am I going to be able to get my speakers to work at all?   I know that they're not broken since they worked with my husbands Palm when he tried to play some tunes using it.. I even tried plugging them into my daughters laptop running XP and it was the same with hers...system didn't even look for a new USB device!  The speakers didn't come with any CD with drivers or anything...I assumed they'd be loaded right from the device. 

 

Any advice would be welcomed...what am I missing or not doing?? Or am I just out of luck?
