Help!!
I am not very computer savy. My computer is approximately a year old. I do not have too many programs on it. I do medical transcription.
When I turn my computer on it takes at least 10 minutes for the hour glass to disappear. When I double click on Word, it takes approximately 5 minutes to open. I have done the disk cleanup and the disk defragmenter and from what I can tell, there is plenty of space available.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Have you also done a full system antivirus scan with updated signatures? Do you routinely check for and remove spyware? If the answer to the second question is no, download Ad-aware from here and Spybot from here. Check online for updates to their databases then run them and delete all the spyware they identify.
