I have been using Microsoft Money 99 for the past 8 years to keep a check on my various bank accounts and it has worked reasonably well for me on various operating systems, incl Windows 98, Windows XP and even Windows Vista.

 

However, yesterday Money 99 stopped working!!!

 

When I run the program it crashes with a very useful error message.....

"Microsoft Money Has Stopped Working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

 

What a wonderful error message.  It does not tell me anything I did not already know.

I have uninstalled  Microsoft Money 99, rebooted PC and then re-installed it from the original CDs.  But it still crashes with the same error message. 

 

Any suggestions?
