I wonder how you KNOW Microsoft has never glanced at security? Are you an insider??? Or maybe a disgruntled ex-Microsoft employee!  And here's the rest of us thinking how difficult it must be to actually develop an operating system, make it user friendly as possible, while providing sufficient security so most folks (like myself) don't have problems. Please, hold the garbage talk.

 

Linux is OK if you don't care if there is a small selection of apps to select from. The only reason other OSs don't have as much of a virus problem is that virus pukes get a lot more bang for their buck with an OS with the (by far) most users. Why waste time design ing for Linux or Mac? If they get bigger, the viruses will appear. Google was much better than IE in the beginning because they didn't use Active-X, but now that they have grown, the addware/spyware problem is beginning to grow.

Just as most software problems are due to user error, most virus/spyware problems are due to risky browsing - running without anti-X software and firewalls, and visiting risky sites.
