Installation advices

Hello,

My laptop just died on me a few hours ago. I've been considering moving to a tablet for a while now, but the technology just wasn't mature enough to satisfy me everyday needs besides web browsing and emails.

I do have a powerful desktop PC at home that I want to use to run all my programs. The tablet would merely be the interface between me and my remote desktop PC, which it would control via WiFi anywhere in the house. I have something in mind, and I'm wondering whether you could help me determine what's feasible and what is not, and if something's possible, what's the best way to do it.

Basically, I want to be able to use my tablet to access Windows apps such as Visual Studio. I also want to be able to plug my tablet into my living room TV screen to use it as a monitor to have higher resolutions. I also want to be able to plug in a USB gamepad and play games remotely on my home network.

Is it achievable with PocketCloud ? With anything else ? Would it be as slow as shown in this video ?

Any hardware buying advice ? Any other advice ?
