Using Pocket Cloud

Using Pocket Cloud

I have tightvnc running on my Windows 7 PC. I can access and see my desktop while logging in using Pocket Cloud on my Android Transformer Prime Tablet. BUT...I cannot sellect or access anything on my PC. There does not seem to be any mouse movement either.

How do I remotely access programs or folders while connected remotely to my PC?

Is the pointer stuck in the middle of the screen? This is a known issue with ICS devices. Here is how to fix this:

    1. Open device Settings
    2. Select Developer options
    3. Un-check Force GPU rendering

This should correct the issue for you. Also we have a knowledge-base topic that explains this too:

I tried that...but I do not see a pointer at all, just my own which moves around my own screen without a problem. But I did check the Force GPU Rendering and it was already unchecked.

I am a little confused, are you seeing the in app touch pointer?

If you can see this, this is the mouse you use to control your PC.

Another thing that could be causing this trouble is that TightVNC is in view only mode. Here are instructions on how to change this:

This occurs on Home editions of Windows when you are connected using the "view-only" password.

    • Go to Start > Programs > Tight VNC > TightVNC Server (Service Mode).
    • Click on "TightVNC Service (Control Interface)".
    • Right click on the "V" icon next to your clock and select "Configuration".
    • Click on the "Unset" button under "View-only password".
    • Click on the "Set" or "Change" button under "Primary password".
    • Input your desired password in the white box.
    • Click on "OK" to Save.
    • Use this password when connecting from PocketCloud on your mobile device.
