XPS 7390 touchscreen active when lid is closed
The touchscreen remains active when the lid is closed, when using external monitor.
This is resulting in many random "touches" from, making it impossible to use the computer, as the mouse "jumps" all over the screen.
I never had this problem on my old XPS, but this started only a few weeks after purchase on this one.
The only remedy is re-opening and closing the lid until it goes away.

I too have exactly this issue. Can the steps suggested privately be shared publicly?

== UPDATE ==
Been exchanging messages with tech support for over a week now, but no solution yet.
To clarify - when the lid is closed the touchscreen will touch the built-in keyboard.
Under normal operation, the touchscreen will get disabled when the lid is closed, and there is no issue.
However, on this one, the touchscreen will frequently remain active even when lid is completely closed.
As a result this generated a whole set of "clicks" all the time.
The only solution so far is to re-open and close the lid again and again, until the touchscreen gets disabled.
