source: reddit
works for me as well m15 R2, AGA, RTX 3080

I do have dual boot setup...fyi
trying I experienced blue screens but now knowing how it works just fine.

1.turn off AGA
2.turn on laptop (I also turn it on without psu - works both)
3.wait for dual boot screen
4.turn on AGA wait few seconds (3 seconds)
5.hit enter to boot into windows
6.done

good luck to you

He literally just said it. You need dual boot for it to work.

Also it seems that, when I have successfully bootet with rtx3080 I now have to disable my internal graphics card. to stop the appearing stuttering.

if you want to reboot though with your 3080 the internal gpu (2060 in my case) has to be enabled though.

it is a bit fuzzy but it is working.

you will need an alienware graphics amplifier also called aga.

there was a workaround posted on reddit.

it explains that you have to turn on your aga during - or shortly before the - boot of windows.

for me it seems to be even more simple with dualboot that's why I pointed at it. it more or less describes the point to turn on your aga which seems to be shortly before os-boot.

so I think it is about timing

try to turn on your aga shortly after you turned on your laptop so just right before the windows loading screen.

I had blue screens when i turned on the aga too late but if you do it too early it is not working.

    hope it helps

Yah, I had a poop ton of issues with the AGA, I had it recycled and replaced with a Core X that works WAY better.
