x17 R2, issues connecting my 2011 Apple Thunderbolt display

hello, ive been looking into this for quite some time and i just cant seem to be able to get this monitor to work with my laptop, the monitor works, its a 27 inch display from apple and it has a thunderbolt 2 cable and a legacy magsafe charger for macbooks(im not exactly sure what the model is) i have the adapter for thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3(that being thunderbolt 2 to usbc) and ive tested and have used this monitor with multiple macbooks to verify that the device does in fact work. my alienware x17 r2 has a thunderbolt port, at least i believe thats the case since theres a thunderbolt icon next to one of the usbc ports. the other usbc port does not have this thunderbolt icon and what's notable is the port without the thunderbolt icon can detect this display while the one explicitly with a thunderbolt icon does not. ive tried a multitude of drivers such as the thunderbolt control center and its drivers, notably nothing shows up in that app but when plugging the adapter into the non thunderbolt port, i can view the device inside device manager. while i was trying to get this monitor working i also came across this:

by the looks of it theres a chance this is causing my issue? although im unable to identify any of the drivers needed in these three warnings.

For an Alienware x17 R2, a “DW51” driver error is usually fixed by reinstalling the affected driver stack, then updating BIOS and chipset-related components first. The most reliable order is: BIOS, chipset, Intel Management Engine/Dynamic Tuning, then the specific device driver that is failing.
Although I personally would be wary of such an update/upgrade path, for fear of bricking my machine.
Open Dell Support for the x17 R2 and install the latest BIOS first, then chipset, then any Intel platform/power components, and finally the driver showing the error.
In Device Manager, right-click the device with the DW51 error, choose Uninstall device, and tick Delete the driver software for this device if available, then reboot.
After reboot, install the Dell-provided driver again from the x17 R2 support page rather than relying on Windows Update.
If the error is tied to Alienware Command Center or thermal/power control, reinstall Alienware Command Center and the related Intel platform framework / dynamic tuning components, since those are known to conflict when corrupted or mismatched.
Run Dell’s quick hardware diagnostics from support, because that can tell you whether the issue is software/driver-related or a hardware fault.

Yes — your Apple Thunderbolt Display can work with your Alienware x17 R2, but only under specific conditions.
Your Alienware x17 R2 has a real Thunderbolt 4 port, which is the key requirement.

It's not ideal news ...
You cannot connect a 2011 Apple Thunderbolt Display to the Alienware x17 R2 with a simple USB-C/DisplayPort adapter, because that Apple display needs a real Thunderbolt connection, not just video-over-USB-C.
The x17 R2 does have Thunderbolt 4, which supports external displays, but Apple’s Thunderbolt Display is a Thunderbolt 1/2 device and Windows laptops are not a guaranteed plug-and-play match for it.
What to try
Use the Thunderbolt cable permanently attached to the Apple display and connect it through a Thunderbolt 3/4 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter into the x17 R2’s Thunderbolt port.
Install the latest Intel Thunderbolt software/drivers for the laptop, then open BIOS and check Thunderbolt settings if the display is not detected.
Keep the Alienware on its power brick; the display cannot power the laptop the way it can power a MacBook.
Important limits
This is not the same as connecting a normal DisplayPort monitor. The Apple display’s Thunderbolt controller and hub functions are what make it work.
Even with the right adapter, compatibility on Windows can be flaky, and some setups require BIOS-assisted or other Thunderbolt security settings to be changed.
If your goal is just using the screen, a regular modern monitor is much easier with the x17 R2’s HDMI or Thunderbolt outputs.
Best practical path
Thunderbolt 3/4 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter.
Use the display’s built-in Thunderbolt cable.
Plug into the x17 R2 Thunderbolt port.
