I've some questions regarding the dataset's plug-in in Avamar 6.1

I have to backup some windows R2 servers with a need of restoring the full server in case of losing it after any event

For the moment my dataset is configured with both File System and VSS plugin

I can recover files in my local drives indivually, and I can also recover the system state

But when I'm looking at the volume taken by each backup I see that the VSS backup is larger than de File System

So I've thaught that only the VSS backup would be needed in my case

My questions are :

- do I need to do a File System backup since I make a VSS backup ?

- do VSS backup permits to recover my server in full, with it's registry, local drives etc ?

- what is the best practice for dataset if I want to be sure to recover my server with all it's programs, configurations, and files (except databases of courses)
