can not create file system

Hi

I am not able to create a file system in the simulator , i have not made any change to storage pool and all , tried Both command line and celerra manager fails.

simulator version :: 5.6.36-2 , with 2 DM

command used :: ./nas_fs -name test_fs size=1G pool=clar_r5_economy

it says error:5005 failed

But if i check by ./nas_fs -list , it shows the file system as raw , But not showing in celerra manager .

tried with -type=uxfs option also . But no luck .

other simulator parameters are default only , this is my first copy of simulator

Thanks in advance

    "alias23122" is absolutely correct - you need to mention -create in the command after -name .

    This will be the operand for the command - to create the file system. Please note that, -create comes after -name, so, please check the syntaxes again.

    Lastly - when you try from GUI - what error message it gives? Are you getting invalid syntax on the GUI itself or you are seeing that on the server_log?

    Can you please provide the screen details of the command and the output what you see.

    Thanks,
    Sandip

    What does the output for server_log server_2 say when you try to create a file system?
