I have a basic question on Centera Storage Pool Usage.

We are using IBM CommonStore Archiving Application to store Data from SAP R/3 onto Centera. We also want to archive some other files called DaRT extract files onto Centera on a on-going basis. The DaRT files are flat files extracted from SAP which are used for TAX reporting purpose by the organization. Both Data and DaRT files are handled diffrently through SAP. The rentention periods for DaRT is normally around 20 years or more. The growth / storage requirements are similar in size for both types of data.

I believe we should use 2 different Centera Storage Pools for SAP Data and DaRT. I am looking for some justifications around this.

I guess Centera Storage Pools are same as Virtual Pools.
