I have a Dell Inspiron 3847 I noticed today the power button light is out. Everything seems to be working fine with the pc should I be concerned? Thank You!
As long as the PC is working ok, I don't think you have anything to worry about. But, it never hurts to back up your files on external media regularly.
This PC is probably ~4-5 years old, so it's possible the LED in the power button has burned out.
The Service Manual for the Inspiron 3847 has instructions to replace the power button module, if that ever becomes necessary.
Thank you for the reply. I will take your advice and let things go as they currently are working fine. I did buy a refurbished cord and switch for $3.00 from Dell just in case. But I certainly can get buy without the power siwtch light.
