SmartByte, troubleshooting bandwidth

All known issues relating to bandwidth which were reported on the earlier versions of SmartByte have been resolved with version 2.5. Read this article.

* Open the Control Panel and check to see what SmartByte version is installed. If not version 2.5 or later, download the latest from your specific Inspiron Desktops model page

* Open the SmartByte App and toggle to On
* Run Speedtest.net to capture download speed

* Open the SmartByte App and toggle to Off
* Run Speedtest.net again to capture download speed

* Compare the results:
- If there are no substantial changes to bandwidth speed, turn SmartByte back On
- If bandwidth speed increases significantly, leave SmartByte Off. Then contact Technical Support so further troubleshooting can be done
