    Thank you so much for the solution, nuke30. I've had this problem on my 5570 for several weeks and had no idea it was caused by the BIOS upgrade. I thought the laptop was overheating and crashing when playing Starcraft II. In fact, it got hot, but not too much. Still, the game crashed any time, image froze, and although other apps and Windows itself continued to work, the laptop remained hot and wouldn't logoff or shutdown. I had to press the hardware power button to turn it off. I was on BIOS v1.2.5. The problem happened only on SC2, not on other games I play. I downgraded to v1.1.8 as recommended, and SC2 worked fine after that. Then I read that v1.2.2 also worked, and I flashed this one. Again, SC2 works properly. Laptop doesn't get so hot as it did under 1.2.5, and the game no longer crashes even after several hours playing at high video settings.

    Again, thank you!

    To prevent this, you must enter BIOS right after you flashed the older version. In BIOS, look under "Security" for "UEFI capsule Firmware Updates". This is the feature that allows Windows to upgrade BIOS without user intervention. Just disable the checkbox, apply and exit BIOS.

    @CrixncheeseStill broken for me too. Video playback freezes/stutters and games force close. What a joke! Rolling back now...

    I've been testing all the AMD drivers since 2019 because of repeated crashs while playing, and I forgot that I've done an update of the BIOS to 1.5.0... I'll downgrade to 1.2.2 as it seems its working for all of you.
    It's sad that after 2 years Dell didn't solve this problem...

    @airline

    I've personally tested it and 1.2.5 has the same GPU issues as 1.2.3. That's interesting though that 1.2.2 works for you. I was told the recommended version was 1.1.8. Maybe I'll give 1.2.2 a shot.

    Dell representatives must be here and hear us for this issues and must try to solve this problem because normally update or upgrade means problem fixes not to be two versions with the same issues ..

    I wish dell be with us and resend another new patch clear of problems

    Especial game crashes ...thanks
